About this copy
The story is set during the freezing winter of AD 44 in Roman Britain. Following a series of brutal battles, Camulodunum (modern-day Colchester) has fallen to the invading Roman army. While en route to join the forces, the ship carrying the wife and children of the Roman commander General Aulus Plautius is wrecked in a storm off the south coast. The family is captured by a dark, bloodthirsty native cult known as the Druids of the Dark Moon. The Druids deliver an ultimatum: unless the Romans release their imprisoned brethren within one month, the General's family will be burned alive Good condition
